Disney+ plans and prices in France
Disney Plus offers 3 subscription tiers in France. All plans give access to the full catalogue: Disney classics, Pixar films, Marvel series, Star Wars, National Geographic documentaries and Hulu content (added in October 2025, replacing the former Star section). The differences between plans come down to video quality, number of simultaneous streams and the presence of adverts.

The Standard with Ads plan is only available as a monthly subscription.
Disney Plus no longer offers a free trial in France. The only way to access Disney Plus at no cost is through the Freebox Ultra internet plan from Free, which includes Disney Plus as part of the subscription. See the section below on getting Disney Plus through your internet box.
How to get Disney Plus cheaper in France through your internet box
One of the best ways to reduce the cost of Disney Plus in France is to subscribe to an internet plan that includes it directly. Several French internet providers offer either a free Disney Plus subscription or a monthly discount on your plan, something that is rarely available when subscribing directly through the Disney+ website.
Disney Plus works on all French internet boxes without any extra setup. You can access it through the Disney+ app on your box's interface, or stream directly from any connected device on the same network.

The Freebox Ultra from Free stands out as the most generous offer: Disney Plus (Standard with Ads) is included at no additional cost as part of the subscription, alongside other streaming services. For families or heavy streamers already looking to set up a French internet plan, this makes it a compelling all-in-one option.
For SFR and Orange customers, the discount applies as a credit against your chosen streaming platform. You pick one platform (Disney+, Netflix, or one of the other eligible services) and the reduction is applied monthly. The discount does not stack across multiple platforms.
Disney Plus was previously available through Canal+ subscription bundles, but this partnership ended on 31 December 2025. If you were accessing Disney Plus via Canal+, you will need to subscribe separately or switch to one of the internet box deals listed above.

What's on Disney Plus France: catalogue and content
The Disney+ catalogue in France is organised into six content universes, all available on every plan:
One France-specific detail worth knowing: Disney+ reached an agreement with French cinema guilds in January 2025 that significantly reduced the streaming delay for new theatrical releases. Films now arrive on Disney Plus France just 9 months after their cinema release, down from 17 months previously. This brings Disney+ closer in line with Netflix and Amazon Prime in France for new releases.
How to watch Disney Plus in English in France
When you subscribe to Disney Plus in France, the app automatically defaults to French, both for the interface and for audio on every title. This catches many expats off guard on their first login. The good news is that switching everything to English is quick and permanent once you know where to look.
There are two separate settings to change: the app interface language (menus, search, account pages) and the audio and subtitle language per title during playback. They are controlled independently.
For a full guide on other English-language options in France, see how to watch English TV in France.
How to change the Disney Plus app language to English
This changes the entire interface (menus, categories, search and account pages) from French to English. You only need to do this once per profile.
Tap your profile icon
Bottom right on mobile, top right on desktop.
Edit Profiles
Select Edit Profiles and choose the profile you want to update.
App Language
Tap App Language and select English from the dropdown menu.
Save
Save the change. The interface will reload in English immediately.
On some Smart TVs and game consoles, the Disney Plus app language follows the system language of the device rather than the in-app setting. If changing the app language has no effect, check your TV or console system settings and switch the device language to English first.
How to change audio and subtitles to English on Disney Plus
Audio and subtitle settings are changed during playback, per title. They reset to default each time on some devices, so it is worth knowing how to access them quickly.
Start playing
Start playing any film or series.
Show controls
Tap or click the screen to bring up the playback controls.
Audio icon
Select the audio icon (speech bubble or box, top-right corner of the player).
Select English audio
Under Audio, select English.
Set subtitles
Under Subtitles, choose English, Off, or your preferred option.
Disney Plus France includes a large amount of French-produced content (original series, French films and some Hulu titles) that is only available with French audio. Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar and main Disney films all have full English audio tracks. If a title does not show English in the audio menu, it is not available in that language on the French version of the platform.
How to cancel your Disney+ subscription in France
Cancelling Disney Plus in France is done directly through your account settings and takes less than two minutes. There is no penalty for cancelling; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Go to Account
Click your profile icon (top right) and select Account.
Cancel subscription
Under Subscription, click Cancel subscription.
Confirm
Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
Check your email
You will receive a confirmation email. Access continues until end of billing period.
If you subscribed to Disney Plus through your internet box provider (Free, SFR or Orange), the cancellation process is different: you will need to manage the subscription through your provider's customer account rather than through the Disney+ website directly.
For Freebox Ultra subscribers, Disney Plus is bundled with the plan itself: to remove it, you would need to downgrade or cancel your Freebox contract. For SFR and Orange customers with a streaming discount, you can deactivate the discount through your operator's account portal without cancelling your internet plan.
