Contact Free Online

Free's customer service is online-based, so you are most likely to find answers to your questions and concerns on their website. You can find information (utilisation guides, troubleshooting guides, etc.) about your Freebox (Internet plan) on the Free website forum. Additionally, you can find information about your plan and contact information for Free Mobile in your Free Mobile client space.

Free also has a mobile app (Assistance Free) Face to Free which you can use to access Free mobile support and follow your customer service requests.

Find a Free Boutique

While it operates considerably fewer physical locations than other operators, Free does have several boutiques across France, known as their Free Centres. Find the nearest Free Centre in this directory (in French).

  • You will need to provide the following to sign up for a plan with Free
  • A piece of ID: such as a passport or visa
  • Your contact information: name, valid email address
  • Your address: street address, apartment number, zip code
  • Proof of residence (justificatif de domicile): such as an electricity or gas bill
  • Your banking information (RIB)

If you are signing up for an Internet plan, Free will need to test your internet connection. They can do an eligibility test for available technologies with:

  • The address of the property, and
  • The name of the previous occupant, or
  • The previous landline telephone number

If you are signing up for a mobile phone plan, bear in mind you may require the use of a French mobile phone number to set up the plan at first. A prepaid SIM card can be a useful way of getting a French phone number quickly.

Free Mailing Addresses

For timely responses to your customer service concerns, we recommend contacting Free online or over the phone. However, you will need to send a letter to Free via recommended post (lettre recommandée avec avis de réception) in order to cancel your Internet or mobile phone plan.
