Luka Payras
I head the Finance and Insurance departments at Selectra — mapping the full French market, from major mutuals and neo-insurers to online banks, to produce honest, data-driven comparisons for expats navigating French financial products.
About
I joined Selectra to lead the Finance and Insurance editorial teams — two verticals where clarity and accuracy genuinely matter to people's lives. My work involves analysing every major player on the French market: large mutuals like MAIF and MACIF, neo-insurers like Acheel and Lovys, online banks and traditional bancassurers. I read the policy documents and T&Cs, track price changes, and cross-check customer service ratings to produce comparisons that are useful rather than overwhelming. With a degree from Paris-Dauphine and a long-standing interest in household budgets and personal finance, I focus on helping expats understand a system that is often opaque — and find the products that actually fit their profile.
