How to Open an Account With Eni

You can sign up for a plan with Eni online via their website, over the phone with Selectra at 09 87 67 37 93 (Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 8 pm, and Saturday from 9:30 am to 6 pm) or though our free callback.

  • You need to have the following information in order to open an account with Eni for natural gas supply
  • Your contact information: name, e-mail address, phone number
  • The address of your new accommodation. Don't forget the floor and apartment number if it is a flat (e.g. third floor, door on the left)
  • The name of the previous occupant
  • Your banking information (RIB) (IBAN and BIC, if you choose automatic payment)

If possible, it helps to have an accurate meter reading (relevé de compteur) and a copy of your most recent bill (facture) when signing up for a plan for natural gas supply with Eni.

About Eni

The name Eni stands for "Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi" (national hydrocarbons authority). Headquartered in Rome, Eni is an Italian multinational oil and gas company that was founded in 1953. Along with its activities in oil and gas, Eni has/is currently active in a variety of fields including contracting, nuclear power, energy, mining, chemicals and plastics, refining/extraction and distribution machinery, the hospitality industry, the textile industry, and news

Eni entered the French energy market in 2004, and quickly gained a large share of the industrial energy market. In 2007 Eni entered into a partnership with the French energy supplier Altergaz, and progressively acquired a larger share of the company. By 2011 Eni held 98% of Altergaz, and in 2012 Altergaz took on the Eni name.

Eni is the second-largest natural gas supplier in France in terms of volumes sold, a reflection of its strong presence in the industrial market. The company is the third-largest natural gas supplier in France, after Engie and EDF in terms of the number of clients.
