How to cancel an Internet plan with Free

freebox-cancel

It may happen that you wish to cancel your Freebox subscription, if you are moving away or decide another plan suits your needs better for instance. The cancellation process for a Freebox and/or mobile subscription depends on whether you wish to keep the same phone number or not.

The cancellation procedures are as follows:

  • If you want to keep your phone number (fixed or mobile line), you simply need to know your RIO code, unique to your phone number, in order to make a request for portability. To do this, simply dial 3179 on the line you wish to keep and take note of the digits that will hear being readout. Your RIO code will be requested by Free or your new provider at the time of a new subscription. Keep in mind that your phone number is unique and can not exist in two different operators, so the operator will terminate your former contract following the portability of a number.
  • If you want to change your phone number, the process requires more important steps - actually carried out by the subscriber itself. You need to print out the cancellation form found on your Subscriber Account, in the section -> "Mon Abonnement" -> "Résiliser mon abonnement". The completed form must be sent to the following address:
